About EWPI

EWPI operates under the accreditation of the American Lumber Standard Committee, Inc., a consumer advocacy group that traces its roots in one form or another back to the 1920's. In turn, the ALSC coordinates with the Dept. of Agriculture's Animal, Plant Health Inspection Service. APHIS in turn interacts with the International Plant Protection Convention which is charged with the job of ensuring invasive, destructive organisms are not transported between countries- simply put, it's about the future of the Planet's forests and agriculture.
